Worship in the park
Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church will hold its worship service at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 21, at Riverbank Park on Main Street.
The Rev. Edward DeLong, pastor of the church, will lead the service.
Joy Knight, Christian education coordinator, announced the community event to celebrate Father’s Day and the summer solstice.
Button club to meet
The Casco Bay Button Club will meet from noon-2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall on Brown Street in Westbrook.
Everyone is welcome to attend and “explore the world of buttons for a couple hours of fun,” a club announcement said. For more information, call Mary Markley at 415-2810.
Tea and quilting
The Tate House Museum in Stroudwater in inviting adults and children to participate in the long social tradition of a community quilting bee.
The bee is set for 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at the museum, 1267 Westbrook St., in Portland. The house was built in 1755 for Capt. George Tate, mast agent for the British Navy. Cost is $5, and $20, family.

Russian culture program at library
Friends of Walker Memorial Library, 800 Main St., is hosting a program titled “Russian Culture Night” during the friends’ annual meeting at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.
The event begins with a social followed by a meeting at 5:30 p.m. The program runs from 5:45-6:45 and features singing, dancing, photography exhibit, snacks, and a travelogue. Everyone is invited to attend this event.
The Bodhi Shop?? opens this week
??The Bodhi Shop?, a new Westbrook business, hosts a grand opening Friday from 5-7 p.m., at the Dana Warp Mill, Bridge Street. Food and drinks will be provided, as well as $20 off the purchase of gift certificates and class passes.
The Bodhi Shop offers ?one-on-one? manual and movement therapy sessions and group yoga classes. The owner is Shannon Fallon, an experienced registered yoga teacher, licensed massage therapist and structural bodyworker. For more information, see www.thebodhishop.co/?.
