BIDDEFORD — Gary M. Dixon, 65, of Biddeford, passed away late Monday evening on June 1, 2015 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.
He was born in Sharon, Massachu-setts on July 21, 1949, a son of Henry and Jane (Hills) Dixon.
Gary enjoyed 40 years of radio and television broadcasting, coinciding with 35 years as a professional pianist/singer and entertainer. He played in various inns and restaurants throughout southern Maine and had a deep knowledge of the music and entertainment industry. Gary also used his skills with the Internet to help bring comfort to others through his music.
He is survived by: two sons, Adam Dixon and his life partner Rebecca Kirby, and Jeff Dixon and his wife Deirdre; five grandchildren, Alex, Riley, Hailey, Elliot, and Joshua; his first wife, Brya; one sister, Linda Systrom and her husband Ernie; and one brother, Glenn Dixon.
A visiting hour will be from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, June 6, with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
