BIDDEFORD — Therese Y. Roberge, 89, of Biddeford, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough after a long illness.
She was born in West Stewarts-town, New Hampshire on Jan. 20, 1926, the daughter of Wilfrid J. and Yvonne Bissonnette Thibeault. She was educated in St. Albert’s School in West Stewartstown, New Hampshire and moved to the local area as a teenager with her family in the early 1940s.
On Jan. 4, 1964 she married Raymond J. Roberge in Saco. He died on March 15, 1986.
Theresa worked many years with the Pepperell and West Pepperell Manufacturing Companies in Biddeford. She also worked with her husband in managing Ray’s Small Engine Shop in Biddeford.
She enjoyed music, dancing and spending time at Granny Kent Pond. She was the unofficial adoptive mother to all her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: two brothers, Philip W. Thibeault in 1978, and Roger R. Thibault in 2014.
She is survived by: two sisters, Pauline F. Paul of Biddeford, and Lucille B. Dudley of Saco; and many nieces and nephews
Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday, May 29 at Hope Memorial Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30 at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford at the convenience of the family.
