Art’s Variety at 158 Spring St. in Westbrook was robbed by a white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 190 pounds with scruffy facial hair on Saturday at about 9:15 p.m.

According to Westbrook police, the man was wearing khaki pants and a black, hooded jacket, and he had a black bandana covering his face. No weapon was shown during the robbery and the suspect made off with an undetermined amount of cash. He was last seen entering a black, four-door vehicle that was parked on the Glenwood Avenue side of the store, which fled the scene on Glenwood Avenue. The vehicle may have had a vanity license plate, police said.
