At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, Japanese guitarist and songwriter Hiroya Tsukamoto will take to the Lincoln Theater stage in downtown Damariscotta and bring the audience on an innovative, impressionistic journey willed with earthy, organic soundscapes imparting of mood of peace and tranquility.

Hiroya Tsukamoto, originally from Kyoto, Japan, is a guitarist and composer who began playing banjo when he was thirteen years old. In 2000, he received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music and came to the US. Since then, he has been performing internationally, including several appearances with his group at Blue Note in New York to performing on Japenese National Television as well as releasing five albums.
