LYMAN — Herman Alexander Eugley, 83, a resident of Lyman, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts after brief illness.

He was born in Waldoboro on June 24, 1931, a son of Percy and Bertha (Derosier) Eugley, and attended Waterboro Schools. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Herman was a machinist at Saco Defense for 27 years, retiring in 1991.

He loved hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; and two brothers, Percy Eugley II, and Carl Eugley.

Herman is survived by: his son, Lance Eugley of Lyman; granddaughter, Tammy Andrews of Old Orchard Beach; three great-grandchildren, Shawn Andrews, Bradley Ayers, and Chenoa Ingham; and one great-great-grandson, Brayden Andrews.

Visiting hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday May 14 at the Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date.
