SACO — Henry L. Ledoux, 89, of Saco, passed away early Tuesday morning on May 12, 2015 at home.
He was born in Amesbury, Massa-chusetts on Dec. 23, 1925, a son of Albert and Annie (Sicard) Ledoux. He moved to Saco at a young age.
He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Henry was a self-employed painter and carpenter throughout York County for over 50 years. One of his greatest joys was working with his two sons. Other happy moments were gatherings at family barbecues and playing horse shoes.
He is preceded in death by: his wife, Theresa (Cote) Ledoux on March 14, 2011; by four brothers, Roland, Norman, Alfred, and Paul; and by one sister,
Henrietta George.
He is survived by: two sons, Denis Ledoux and his wife Deborah of North Waterboro, and Jody Ledoux and his wife Kim of Ormond Beach, Florida; by one daughter, Vickie Frechette and her husband Arthur of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Scott, Paul, Denis, Lauren, Nicole, and Brian; five great-grandchildren, Patrick, Justin, Nathan, Caleb, and Ethan; and one great-great-granddaughter, Alexia.
He is also survived by: three sisters, Audrey Picken, Albertina Emerson, and Eva Ryan; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a funeral service at 12:30 p.m., on Friday, May 15 at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James Street, Saco. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
