BRUNSWICK

“Water Bodies,” the newest exhibit from Spindleworks, opens at 5 p.m. tonight in Brunswick. The exhibit draws attention to planet earth both to celebrate and to raise awareness of the diversity of species — all of which are affected by our actions and inactions.

This year artists were invited to submit work in any medium, inspired by and focusing on bodies of water, or the bodies that dwell in water.

This is the fifth exhibit in the series, which has drawn artists from across Maine and across the country. Once again, Spindleworks has chosen the Coastal Humane Society as the beneficiary of the exhibit. 20 percent from each sale will be donated to this important and well-loved local organization.

While the Art Walks does not officially kick off until June this year, the community is invited to journey out into the spring evening and enjoy the event. If planning to eat at Frontier while enjoying the exhibit, reservations are strongly recommended.
