BATH — The 23rd Annual Dinner and Silent Auction for the Patten Free Library will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at J. R. Maxwell’s, 122 Front St., Bath starting with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m.
A few highlights from the silent auction include a three-month membership to the Bath Area Family YMCA, a guided fishing trip or lighthouse tour with Obsession Charters, a certificate for 2 to attend a Now You’re Cooking class, a Maine Liquor gift basket and many other gift certificates and items donated by generous area businesses and individuals. The dinner is $45 per person with entree choices of New York sirloin steak, chicken marsala, fried haddock and scallops, blackened salmon or pasta primavera. There will be an array of local celebrities acting as waiters, competing for the most tips, which will all be donated to the Library at the end of the night. A cash bar also will be available.
