Cinco de Mayo benefit aids special services

In a Cinco de Mayo benefit, Westbrook High School’s Special Service will benefit from those dining Monday, May 4, from 4-10 p.m., at Margaritas, 11 Brown St., Portland.

“Mention Westbrook High School’s Special Services Department and 15 percent of your bill will be donated to us,” said Julie Colbath of AmeriCorps VISTA, Westbrook High School said in an announcement. “This applies to dine-in and take-out. We will also be raffling off various prizes and will be selling our May calendar raffle, which includes prizes such as restaurant gift cards, waterfront concert tickets, a Muse Paintbar gift certificate, and more.”

The Special Services Department provides free education to students who have vision, hearing, language, physical, learning, and social-emotional disabilities through various programs and services.

“Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo a day early,” Colbath said. “Eat delicious food, have a drink, and support a great cause.”
