ARUNDEL — Helen L. Clay, 56, of Arundel, passed away early Thursday morning on April 2, 2015, at her home.
She was born in Biddeford on Sept. 7, 1958, a daughter of George and Linda (May) Wormwood. She was a graduate of Biddeford High School.
Helen was employed as a CNA for St. Andre’s Healthcare and Kennebunk Nursing for 10 years. She also worked for Southern Maine Health & Homecare for 15 years.
She married her husband Mike on June 29, 1984.
She enjoyed gardening and working on the computer. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and time at her camp. Helen was always there to help; she will be sadly missed.
She is preceded in death by: her father, George Wormwood; and her brother, Mark Wormwood.
She is survived by: her mother, Linda Croteau and her husband Gerard; four children, Linda (Clay) Morgan, Richard Houle, Crystal (Clay) Jones, and Carrie (Clay) Coron. She is also survived by: three brothers, George Wormwood, Robert Wormwood and his wife Brenda, and Roger Wormwood and his wife Sophia; five sisters, Georgette Gilbert and her husband Mike, Fannie Waterman, Jane Petrin, Joan Normandeau and her husband Don, and Ruth Avery and her husband Aaron; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Travis, Zachary, Zachary, Dylan, Logan, Riley, and Ethan; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, April 6 at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, at Anchor Baptist Church in Biddeford.
Burial will be in the spring in Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford.
