SOUTH FREEPORT — Award winning Maine writer Lois Lowry will be speaking at a luncheon at South Freeport Congregational Church 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 27.

Lowry has written more than thirty children’s books, including “The Giver” and “Number the Stars,” each winners of Newbery Medals, as well as an autobiography.

The luncheon is a sit-down catered event, with the author speaking for about half an hour prior to eating. A book signing will follow. Tickets are $15.00 by reservation only.
