WELLS — Betty Elaine Huff, 76, of Wells, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at her home.

Betty was born in Meredith, New Hampshire, on April 22, 1938, to Richard and Beatrice Smith. She attended local schools.

In 1983, she married Raymond Paul Huff and they spent 32 years together.

Betty enjoyed restaurant work at several restaurants over the years, including Egg and I and Maxwell’s Pub in Ogunquit, and was well-liked by everyone.

She loved her friends and they enjoyed many hours of board games. She loved country music and puzzles of all kinds, especially crossword.

She had a passion for trout and hornpout fishing, and the car always had chairs and poles ready.

She loved her flowers, especially lilacs, and carnations were her favorite. Betty Boop was another love, but no matter what she received, she’d put it up to look at, and never use it.

Her little dog Midget was her baby. One thing about her: No matter how she was feeling, she always had a joke or a sassy remark and made sure she enjoyed her family as much as possible. Betty is special and will be remembered with great love by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by: her husband, Raymond P. Huff of Wells; two sons, Bobby Ferguson of Hollis and Billy Emerson of Harvard, Massachusetts; her daughter, Deborah Trafton of Wells; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

There are no calling hours. There will be a celebration of Betty’s life where she and Raymond married: Mt. Zion Chapel, 119 Crediford Road, Wells, on Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m.
