ERIE, Pa. — Peyton Siva scored seven points over the final 33 seconds as the Erie BayHawks survived a furious comeback by the Maine Red Claws on Sunday, holding on for a 122-119 NBA-D League victory.

The Red Claws trailed by 26 with 7:12 left in the third quarter and 102-82 entering the fourth. But Jason Calliste scored 10 points in the fourth quarter and Omari Johnson added eight, including a layup that gave Maine a 114-113 lead with 1:37 remaining.

Siva’s 3-pointer from the corner with 33 seconds left put Erie ahead for good, 116-114 Erie. He then was fouled after rebounding Chris Babb’s missed jumper and sank a pair of three throws.

Babb drained a 3-pointer to pull the Red Claws within 118-117 with 15 seconds left. Seth Curry converted a pair of free throws for Erie before Tim Frazier’s two foul shots made it 120-119 with five seconds remaining.

Siva then sank two free throws with just over a second left, and Calliste missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Maine had its five-game winning streak stopped.

All five Erie starters scored in double figures, paced by Siva with 29 points and Curry with 28.

Johnson finished with 25 points for Maine, Babb added 22 and Ralph Sampson III scored 17. Calliste and Frazier contributed 15 each.

Before the game, the Red Claws signed Omar Reed, a 6-6 swingman who played for Maine in the 2012-13 season. Reed played most recently in Japan. Maine waived Chaz Williams to open a roster spot for Reed.
