WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Omari Johnson went 7 for 11 from behind the 3-point line to finish with 25 points, and the Maine Red Claws used a strong second half to get past the Westchester Knicks 114-105 at Westchester County Center on Friday night.
Johnson also pulled down 12 rebounds, while Tim Frazier had 17 points, 14 rebounds and six assists to help the Red Claws win their fifth straight game and eighth out of nine.
Westchester went on a 21-10 run over the final 7 minutes of the second quarter to pull ahead 61-51.
The Red Claws cut the deficit to three after three quarters and took the lead for good on a 3-pointer by Chris Babb that made it an 91-89 lead with 9:25 remaining.
Over the next 4 minutes the Red Claws went on a 10-4 run to pull away.
Maine went 18 for 41 from 3-point range while Westchester made just 2 of 13 attempts. In addition to the seven 3-pointers by Johnson, Andre Stringer went 4 for 5 while scoring 14 points.
The Red Claws also got 17 points from Romero Osby, 12 from Chris Babb and 10 from Sherwood Brown.
Westchester was led by Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Ben Strong with 21 points apiece.
Antetokounmpo also had 11 rebounds for the Knicks.
