HOLLIS — Stanley E. Rowe Jr., 66, of Deering Ridge Road, passed away March 2, 2015 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland after a year long battle with cancer.

He was born in Portland March 23, 1948, the son of Stanley and Geraldine Doyle Rowe. 

He attended local schools and later served in the United States Marine Corps. 

Stanley was first employed by Ormand Bedell of Saco, and then Nike Shoe, and most recently worked for Pactiv in South Portland.

He is survived by: his wife, Betty DeSilva Rowe of Hollis; a son, David Cloutier of Maine; two daughters, April Rowe of Hollis, and Lisa Cloutier”“Millard of Ellsworth; two brothers, Steve Rowe of Biddeford, and Stacey Rowe of Saco; three sisters, Linda Paquin of Old Orchard Beach, Sandra Kimball of Hollis, and Wendy Welch of Biddeford; two step-brothers, Edward Bailey of Biddeford, and Robert Bailey of Tennessee; three step-sisters, Tammy Mastera of Porter, Mary Rowe of Biddeford, and Missy Verrill of East Waterboro; two grandchildren, Brianna Emerson, and Brandon Cloutier of Ellsworth; and several nieces and nephews.

Stanley enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and NASCAR.

Friends and relatives may call at Dennett, Craig & Pate, 13 Portland Road, Buxton, (Bar Mills), Thursday, March 5 from 4-7 p.m. A service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 7 p.m. with Ron Sargent officiating.

Burial will be in the spring at Flanders Cemetery.
