YORK — Madeline Patricia Pruell, 92, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 28, 2015.
She resided in Walpole, Massachu-setts, Fort Myers Beach, and was a resident of York Beach for 63 years. She spent the last four years in Naples, Florida with her daughter, Carol.
Madeline was born in Norwood, Massachusetts, the oldest of nine children, to Robert and Madeline (Scanlon) Praino. She graduated from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing and spent her nursing career at the Norwood Hospital.
Madeline married Joseph W. Pruell on April 12, 1947.
Madeline is preceded in death by: her husband of 56 years, Joe; her mother and father; and her brother, Eddie.
She is survived by, and will be dearly missed by: her five children, Joseph and Wendy of Walpole, Massachusetts, Barbara Glavin and William of Norwood, Massachusetts, Thomas and Nancy of Walpole, Massachusetts, Carol and the late C. Michael Toner of Naples, Florida, and Mary Beth Jenkins and Earle of Bedford, New Hampshire; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters; and her best friend for more than 60 years, Millie Tautkas of York.
Services will be held in York at a later date.
