BRUNSWICK — Gerard “Jerry” E. Tetreault, age 99, of Jordan Avenue, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Horizon’s Living and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Brunswick on June 29, 1915, the son of Ephrem and Rose Anna Pinette Tetreault. Jerry attended Brunswick schools.

Jerry meet Marion Tucker in Boston and they married on Sept. 28, 1940, and moved to Brunswick.

Marion died on May 26, 2007. For over 40 years Jerry worked in Quality Control at Bath Iron Works until retiring.

Jerry was especially skilled at fixing watches and clocks and was known as the “Clock Man.”

Jerry loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing and lobstered up into his 90s.

A neighborhood fixture and “True Character,” Jerry always maintained a positive attitude. He was always working on projects. He could often be seen around the neighborhood walking his coon cat “Baby” on a leash. Jerry was also told many times throughout the years and during difficult times that he had more than the nine lives of a cat.

Jerry was a member of The Knights of Pythias and a member of St. Charles Borromeo — All Saints Parish.

Surviving are two daughters Linda Tetreault of Brunswick and Joan Hobbs and her husband Ron of Bend, Ore. Three grandchildren Meagan Tetreault, Eric Hobbs and Jaime Hobbs, and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was also predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 2 at St. Charles Borromeo Church — All Saints Parish, McKeen Street, Brunswick. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Spring interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Brunswick.
