SACO — Lucien R. Roy, 78, of Saco, passed away late Thursday evening on Feb. 19, 2015, at his home.
He was born in Biddeford on July 18, 1936, a son of Alphonse and Adelia (Morin) Roy. He was educated in Saco schools.
Lucien was employed by Songo Shoe in Portland for 10 years and retired as a foreman after 27 years of service from Sebago”“Moc.
Lucien liked to farm. His hobby was restoring antique tractors. He also enjoyed tractor pulling and was a member of Maine Antique Tractor Club and Southern Maine Tractor Club, winning several pulling events over the years.
He is preceded in death by: three sisters, Claire Labonte, Doris Poisson and Lorette Roy.
He is survived by: his wife of 58 years, Claudia (Hanson) Roy of Saco; one son, Steven Roy of East Waterboro; two daughters, Kimberly Blais and her husband Mark of Westbrook, and Sandra Levasseur of Naples, Florida; one sister, Simmone Thibeau of Saco; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, with a funeral service at 5 p.m., with Dr. Rev. Burton S. Howe officiating, at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco.
