BIDDEFORD — Marie A. Pelletier, 80, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at the Pine Point Health Center in Scarborough, surrounded by family.
She was born Jan. 8, 1935 in Saco, a daughter of Ernest and Alfreda (Bourgault) Petrin, and was educated in Biddeford schools.
Mrs. Pelletier worked for more than 12 years in area shoe shops.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the National DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Bingo and traveling.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Joseph A. Pelletier in 2011; and a brother, Albert “Pete” Petrin in 1987.
She is survived by: three sons, David A. Pelletier and his wife Joyce of Biddeford, Peter A. Pelletier and his wife France of Biddeford, and Vincent R. Pelletier of Biddeford; two brothers, Roland Petrin of Georgia and Raymond Petrin of Mechanicsville, Virginia; three sisters, Patricia Seymour of Port Orange, Florida, Rita Labranche of Suncook, New Hampshire, and Marguerite Gagnon of Gorham; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
Visiting hours will be 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.
A spring burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
