SANFORD — Beverly A. Sanborn, 78, of Lebanon, died on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Southern Maine Health Care in Sanford.

Beverly was born in York on March 7, 1936 to Herbert and Eleanor (Oxner) Hill. She grew up in North Berwick and attended local schools. She married Charles Sanborn Jr. in May of 1961 and together they shared nearly 54 years of marriage.

Beverly enjoyed knitting, painting, watching game shows and going shopping. Beverly enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, nana, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed.

Beverly was predeceased by: her parents; her son Russell Merchant; and her daughter Audrey Merchant.

She is survived by: her husband, Charles Sanborn Sr. of Lebanon; two sons, Clem Merchant Jr. of Arlington, Washington, and Charles Sanborn Jr. and his wife Jodie Sanborn of Sanford; two daughters, Roberta Stanley of Center Conway, New Hampshire and Theresa Sanborn of Lebanon; two brothers, Joseph Hill of South Berwick and Ralph Hill of Idaho; several nieces and nephews; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in the spring at Hillside Cemetery in North Berwick.
