DAYTON — Adele Neault, 97, of Dayton, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at Southern Maine Health Care.
She was born May 23, 1917 in Biddeford, a daughter of John and Josephine (Tanzella) Giamarino, and was educated in local schools.
On Dec. 27, 1937 she married Albert Neault at St. Mary’s Church.
As a young woman she had worked in the local mills. After the death of her husband in 1970, she worked as a caregiver in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Adele had been a member of St. Margaret’s Church in Old Orchard Beach. She enjoyed cooking and had traveled in her retirement.
She is preceded in death by: brothers, Frank Pepe and Joseph Giammarino; and a sister, Mary Thibodeau.
Adele is survived by: a daughter, Carol Littlefield and her husband Stanley of Dayton; a son, Albert Michael Neault and his wife Ginger of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Carmella Giammarino of Old Orchard Beach and Dorothy Grenier of Kennebunk; eight grandchildren, Susan Cousens, Michael Littlefield, Daniel Littlefield, Tracy Machado, Crystal Grenier, Timothy Littlefield, Melissa Littlefield, Dawn Laverriere and Kelly Neault; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be 1-2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
