Looking for a laugh-outloud funny show you can bring the kids to? Maine’s renowned variety entertainer and Johnson Hall’s Executive/ Artistic Director Mike Miclon will host the Early Evening Show at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center on Saturday, February 7 at 7:30 pm. The premise is based on a spoof of a latenight talk show, but it’s not that simple. With improvisation, sketch comedy, music, lots of special guests and surprises, no two shows are ever alike. Miclon brings his warm personality and goofy sense of fun to the stage – and sometimes an unsuspecting audience member or two!
Well-known musicians Oren Robinson and April Reed-Cox head up the Early Evening Show Orchestra. With their virtuosic improvisational style, Robinson and Reed-Cox are able to both create new songs on the spot and interpret classic favorites with freshness and originality. Don’t miss the show the Bangor Daily News called “a seamless, hilarious production” and CBS Sunday Morning recommended as “must-see reality”.
Mike Miclon has brought his high energy antics to some of the finest theaters across the United States and Europe, with such highlights as the Kennedy Center and the White House in Washington D.C., The Keller Theater in Germany and the Festa Americana in Italy.
