Darryn DuShane, director of the Port Teen Center at the Freeport Community Center, shovels snow off the town skating rink last Thursday evening. DuShane said that the rink became a mess when people walked through it following a snowstorm the previous weekend. A good thaw and refreeze is needed to restore good skating conditions, DuShane said.
Dwayne Bullerwell is the new facilities assistant, a part-time position, at the Freeport Community Center.
