BATH — The popular town history series has now been scheduled, beginning January 24 with Meagan G. Theriault’s “The Artifacts of Georgetown” at the Community Room of the Patten Free Library at 10:30 a.m. The room fills up quickly, so get there early. January 31 will feature Nancy Sferra’s “History of the Mill Pond Area” for Arrowsic; February 7 will be Dave Hennessey’s “Raising Oysters in West Bath”, February 14 will highlight Charlie Burden’s “A History of Bath Newspapers: Loving the Bath Daily Times”; and February 21 will focus on “Woolwich and the Civil War: A Story Told in Artifacts”.
All of the towns that are members of the Patten Free Library are presenting a talk. The series is jointly sponsored by the Patten Free Library and the Bath Historical Society.
This year’s Series will be dedicated to Daniel Donovan, a very significant contributor to the History Room. And once again, Raymond James, Inc. will be the financial sponsor of the Series. The Series will be filmed for showing on local TV. Doors open at 10 a.m.
