Portland kids shine at foul shooting contest
Several Portland kids did well at the recent Portland Lodge of Elks No. 188 foul shooting contest at McAuley High School. Sadie Armstrong won the girls’ 8-9 age group. Aidan McGowan took first in the 8-9 boys’ division. Ella McGowan won the girls’ 10-11 division. Isabel Dawson placed first in the girls’ 12-13 bracket, while Henry Westphal was first in the boys’ 12-13 division. The winners advanced to compete at the district competition held Sunday in Old Orchard Beach.
Western Maine umpire classes upcoming
