Organizers for the eighth Hot Chocolate Jubilee are recruiting acts and chorus members for the 2015 production of this popular community variety show which is a fundraiser for the Chocolate Church Arts Center.
Auditions will be held on January 10, 2015 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m., in the Curtis Room at the Chocolate Church Arts Center (CCAC) in Bath.
“A Show for All Seasons” is the title of the show. Potential acts should fit this theme. Ideally an act will be three minutes long. All acts must take less than five minutes to set up and perform. Costumes and props are not needed for the audition.
The HCJ VIII chorus will perform “California Dreamin’”, “Summer Nights”, “ Singing in the Rain”, “April Showers”, “Pennies from Heaven”, and “June is Busting Out all Over”. No audition is necessary to participate in the chorus.

Auditions, rehearsals and performances will be at the CCAC 804 Washington Street in Bath. In the event of poor weather on January 10th the audition snow date is January 17th. The chorus rehearses weekly on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon from January 24, until March 21, 2015 in the CCAC Curtis Room. Dress rehearsals for all performers are March 23, 24, and 25. Performances are March 26, 27, 28, and 29, 2015.
HCJ is a variety show in many ways. The actors, comedians, dancers, musicians, vocalists, and production crew typically range in age from children to senior citizens and come from all over the Bath- Brunswick area representing many groups, schools, and organizations.
