KENNEBUNK — Robert Chester Hatch, 80, of Kennebunk, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, after a long illness.
Robert was born Aug. 4, 1934, a son of the late Wilmont and Bernice Hatch.
A carpenter and cabinetmaker by trade, Robert was a jack-of-all-trades, who especially enjoyed deer hunting and brook fishing. Bob was a loyal and trusted friend, who will be missed dearly.
Robert was preceded in death by: a granddaughter, Jessica Bailey; a grandson, Jason Laprel; two sisters, Lillian Yates and Donna Vachon; and two brothers, Arthur Hatch and Freeman Hatch.
Surviving Robert are: his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia (Dennett) Hatch; seven daughters, Linda Cluff and Tammy Bickford and her husband Wade, all of Kennebunkport, Barbara Bunnell and her husband Willie of North Carolina, Ramona Descoteaux and her husband Paul of Florida and Maine, Donna Shaw and Lisa Lord and her husband John, all of Kennebunk, and Vicki Davis of Springvale.
Bob also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service in the spring.
