YORK — Chloe Smedley scored 15 points, and Shannon Todd chipped in with 11 points and seven assists as York bounced back from its first loss of the season, rolling to a 67-27 victory over Freeport in a Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball game Thursday night.
Todd and Smedley combined for 13 points in the first quarter as the Wildcats (4-1) raced out to a 23-6 lead.
Freeport (0-5) was paced by Regan Lynch with 15 points.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 57, WELLS 30: Maria Valente scored 14 points and Zoe Adams added 11 to lead the Patriots (5-0) over the Warriors (0-5) at Wells.
Wells’ top scorer was Hannah Moody with nine points.
FRYEBURG ACADEMY 43, YARMOUTH 21: Nicole Bennett scored 10 points and the Raiders (3-2) built a 26-12 halftime lead on their way to a win over the Clippers (1-3) at Fryeburg.
Sage Boivin contributed nine points for Fryeburg and Julia Quinn added eight.
Sara D’Appolonia scored six points for Yarmouth.
TRAIP ACADEMY 51, SACOPEE VALLEY 21: Jessica MacNeill scored 13 points and Marina Casey tossed in 10 for the Rangers (2-2) in a win over the Hawks (1-4) at Kittery.
Traip’s defense smothered Sacopee Valley in the first half as the Rangers built a 23-2 lead.
BONNY EAGLE 56, NOBLE 21: The Scots (2-3) used a 20-1 second-quarter outburst to take control against the Knights (0-5) at Standish.
Mia Ferrante scored 10 points for Bonny Eagle. Tracie Townsend added nine.
Melodie Bailey was the top scorer for Noble with five points.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 35, HEBRON ACADEMY 24: Hannah Carr scored 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Panthers (1-3) past the Lumberjacks (0-3) at Yarmouth.
Carr had 10 points in the second quarter as NYA outscored Hebron 12-6 to build a 23-14 lead.
Alexandra Loh led the Lumberjacks with 14 points.
LINCOLN ACADEMY 58, MEDOMAK VALLEY 50: Brie Wajer scored 18 points to go along with five assists and six steals as the Eagles (4-1) rallied past the Panthers (4-1) at Newcastle.
Danielle Pinkham added seven points, nine rebounds and five assists. She had five points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles outscored the Panthers 15-5.
Hannah Marks scored 15 points, Maggie Cox chipped in with 14 and Hannah Heald finished with 11 for Medomak.
MT. BLUE 59, MT. ARARAT 35: Caitlin Kane scored 18 points to pace the Cougars (1-2) to a win over the Eagles (3-2) at Farmington.
Mackenzie Harris added 12 points for Mt. Blue.
Allison Melcher led Mt. Ararat with nine points and 12 rebounds.
RICHMOND 30, PINE TREE ACADEMY 16: The Bobcats (3-1) jumped out to a 14-2 halftime lead and cruised to a victory over the Breakers (4-1) at Freeport.
Sydney Tilton led Richmond with eight points. Kelsea Anair tossed in seven.
Alex Goodman was the top scorer for PTA with eight points.
CONY 34, BREWER 32: The Rams (1-4) held Brewer (0-5) to one point in the fourth quarter as they erased a 31-24 deficit in Augusta.
Kate Silva had seven points and six rebounds, and Sydney Cheever scored eight points for Cony.
Courtney Pearson led the Witches (0-5) with nine points.
EDWARD LITTLE 55, MESSALONSKEE 42: Emily Jacques scored 22 points to lead the Red Eddies (4-1) past the Eagles (2-3) at Auburn.
Sophie Holmes led Messalonskee with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
OAK HILL 57, LISBON 27: Brianna Mulherin scored 19 points to lead the Raiders (4-0) to a victory at Lisbon Falls.
Sadie Goulet added 11 points.
Lisbon (0-3) was led by Mia Durgin with seven points.
LAWRENCE 79, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 46: Nia Irving had 26 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (4-0) over the Broncos (2-2) in Hampden.
Dominique Lewis added 22 points and Paige Belanger scored 11.
FOREST HILLS 70, BUCKFIELD 58: Linda Riley scored 23 points and Sammy Begin added 14 for the Tigers (4-1) in a victory at Buckfield (2-2).
Keely Taylor and Caitlyn Logston each chipped in nine points apiece.
Brianna Damon and Alyssa Therriault each scored 15 points for Buckfield.
