GEORGETOWN — Frances Mary Fossett, 90, of Georgetown, passed away on Dec. 16, 2014. Frances was born in Portland, Maine, on Jan. 30, 1924, the daughter of James and Alvina (Arsenault) Rollins.
Frances was a homemaker, she took pride in raising her son and taking care of her family. There was nothing that was more important to her. She married her best friend, Harlon Fossett, and the couple enjoyed traveling the world together during his military career. Although she felt grateful for being able to experience the world, she always longed for the time she would return to her family, in her beloved Maine. In 1978 she did this.
She is predeceased by her husband, Harlon; and a great-grandson, Nathanial.
She leaves behind her son, Harold of Shenandoah County, VA; a grandson, Kenneth Fossett and his wife Tammy of Ashburn, VA; and a granddaughter, Cassandra Wright and her husband Richard of Dale City, VA; also surviving her are four great-grandchildren, Alex, Zachary, Jacob and Simon.
At Frances’ request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
