Grover steps down at Freeport
Rob Grover, the only coach the Freeport varsity football program has known, has stepped down. Grover, who went 19-31 in his six seasons, twice leading the Falcons to the playoffs, said that he recently got a job promotion and that the time was right to move on.
βIt was just time,β Grover said. βI feel good (about what we did). We did a lot with small numbers. I hope I left the program in good hands and I hope it continues to grow.β
