WILKESBORO, N.C. — Donna M. Heirtzler, 86, of Wilkesboro, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2014. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Heirtzler was born on June 20, 1928, in Brunswick, Maine, to Cyrus and Nellie Trufant.
She is survived by her children Scott (Patricia) Tobey, Robin Jarvis (Rocky), Stacy (Pam) Tobey, and Jamie Puuri (Steve); her grandchildren Jonathan Foster, Erin Tobey, Matthew Tobey, Chris Puuri, Kelsey Puuri, and Toby Puuri; her cousins Danny (Brenda) McDonald, Bob (Nancy) Benoit, Tom (Margie) Benoit, and Gay Benoit; and other relatives and loved ones spread from Maine to California.
A service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in the spring of 2015, where she will be interred with her husband, William C. Heirtzler.
