Boston-based conservative radio talk-show host Howie Carr has left WRKO 680 AM after his contract expired, The Boston Globe reported Friday.
The Globe quoted a spokesman for Entercom Communications Corp., which owns the station, as saying that Carr’s new show will start programming next week, but it was unclear on which station it would be broadcast.
His talk show was syndicated to 15 other stations, according to howiecarrshow.com.
Carr was known for his sarcasm, and Entercom was sometimes his target. His show went on a brief hiatus in 2007 when a previous contract with Entercom expired.
In addition to his radio talk show, Carr is the author of “The Brothers Bulger” and “Hitman.”
