Congratulations to Marston Lovell for winning the election for York County commissioner in District 3. I also would like to congratulate Roger Hicks for a great turnout of votes in his first time running for public office.
While I want to publicly thank everyone who supported me throughout this campaign, there are two people who I can’t thank enough for their never-ending support: my wife, Audrey, who stood at the polls, greeting voters for 12 hours in Old Orchard Beach (even though she actually loathes politics); and my mother, Jean, who took over for me several times throughout the day in Saco when I drove to other polling places.
And to my fellow commissioners, Sallie Chandler, Richard Dutremble, Gary Sinden and Mike Cote, it’s been an honor and privilege to serve with you as a York County commissioner. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable experience for the last eight years.
