BIDDEFORD — Madeleine Gloria Garon Bryant, 86, passed away Nov. 1, 2014 at Brunswick.
She was born in Biddeford on Jan. 28, 1928.
She attended St. Joseph’s and Biddeford High School.
She married John Bryant Jr., a union from which three children were born.
She worked at Garland Mfg. Co. as a bookkeeper for many years.
Madeleine was a strong woman with a wonderful sense of humor. When faced with adversity, she always had the ability to find the silver lining.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Yvonne Garon; and her brother, Larry Garon.
Madeleine always believed that her wealth was her children. She is survived by: her son, David and wife Diane of The Villages, Florida; and her daughters, Donna Hunter and husband Rocky of Loveland, Colorado, and Kathleen Strickland and husband John of Brunswick, with whom she lived.
She is also survived by: four grandchildren, Sara Bryant of Boulder, Colorado, Amy Thyng and husband Matt of Austin, Texas, Bret Hunter of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jamie Hunter of Austin, Texas; and one great-grandson, Sam Thyng of Austin, Texas.
Madeleine had many wonderful friends. Among those friends were her childhood friend, Jackie Goodwin of Biddeford, and Barbara Waters of Saco.
Madeleine loved the ocean, and, at her request, a private memoriam will be held in the summer at her Mere Point home in Brunswick. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.directcremationofmaine.com.
