BIDDEFORD — Adrienne Rita Cayer, 88, formerly of Biddeford, died on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 unexpectedly, after a brief illness, in Orangevale, California.

She was born April 17, 1926 in Biddeford, to Conrad and Alma (Boissonneault) Beaudoin, and was educated in Biddeford schools.

On Aug. 9, 1947, she married Paul Emile Cayer at St. Andrew’s Church in Biddeford. They shared 60 years together until his death on Nov. 14, 2007.

Adrienne was a devoted wife and mother. After her husband, Paul, retired in 1982, they traveled all over the U.S. and Canada in their RV. They visited every state except Alaska. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts and crocheting. She loved to gamble and seemed to always win. When she was younger, she loved to golf.

She is survived by: one daughter: Rachel Cayer of Orangevale, California; one son, Michael Cayer and his wife Linda of Rancho Cordova, California; and four grandchildren, Brandt, Sarah, Amber and Jennifer.

Visiting hours will be on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
