We are a group of military veterans who write in support of Diane Denk, candidate for House District 9, which includes Kennebunkport and parts of Kennebunk and Biddeford.

To address the issue of homeless veterans, which has sadly become a reality in this area, Diane organized a clothing drive in towns throughout York County. Her efforts helped clothe many men and women in new boots, coats, gloves, pants, sweaters and thermal underwear during one of Maine’s coldest winters. She also organized a drive for gift items for active troops in Afghanistan that yielded several carloads of donations and resulted in recognition from the group that organized the state drive.

We believe all veterans and citizens of Maine would benefit from the presence of an advocate such as Diane, and ask you to vote for her on Nov. 4.
