You know I am so tired of people giving other people credit for what they haven’t done except blow air. Sorry to say, but Caring Unlimited for battered wives and husbands has been around since 1973, and is helping victims of domestic violence. Unfortunately, my friend, who gave the name to the organization, Avangeline Wade, has since died. She would be appalled at Gov. LePage taking credit when he should have been around years ago when young men and women were being battered by their spouses due to drugs and alcohol.
Does he go on TV and promote the programs where these people can get help such as NA, AA, Al-Anon or Alateen? No, he waits until some famous football player drags his wife by the hair in an elevator so he can look good before the election. Then, he wants more jail time for them. I thought we were trying to get people off of welfare and to work. This governor spent money on a race car that came in 17th, and then you don’t hear anymore about it.
What are we getting from Gov. LePage? This is what you call a smooth-talking politician, even though he says he’s not, because they never follow up, just like Eliot Cutler with all the lies. Check out the “Secret Files of Eliot Cutler” on the Internet, I found it quite interesting. That tells me a lot, and besides, we had a guy who came to the Democratic office and helped us out instead of helping Eliot’s organization, they wouldn’t pay him and were not organized. Typical of a lawyer, take your money, smooth talk the people and run.
See you Mike Michaud on the 30th, along with President Obama and George Mitchell.
