SACO — Maurice E. Duross, 75, of Saco, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 at home with his wife by his side, as she has been for 52 1/2 years, after a long battle with kidney failure.
He was born in Biddeford on April 2, 1939, a son of Roy and Annette (Fournier) Duross.
He graduated from Biddeford High School, Class of 1958, where he lettered in basketball.
Maurice was employed by Biddeford Saco Oil/E.R. Warren for 20 years. He also worked for the City of Saco Public Works Department, retiring after 17 years of service.
He served in the
National Guard.
He was preceded in death by: his loving brother, Patrick L. Duross.
Maurice leaves behind his loving and devoted family and friends.
He is survived by: his wife, Carmen (Allaire) Duross; two brothers, Robert Duross and his wife Charlotte of San Antonio, Texas and James Duross and his wife Sandra of Biddeford; brother-in-law, Norman Allaire of Acton; and several nieces and nephews.
Committal prayers will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Chapel in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
