FARMINGTON — Kelsey Dumond and Kayla Winslow scored in a 31-second span Tuesday and St. Joseph’s College went on to a 2-0 victory against the University of Maine at Farmington in a nonconference college field hockey game.

Dumond scored on a one-timer off a pass from Effie Drew in the 42nd minute and Winslow made it 2-0 off a rebound for the Monks (12-2).

Emma Astbury made one save in the first half for the Monks and Hilary Nash stopped three shots in the second half.

Patricia Smith made two saves for the Beavers (7-5).

BOWDOIN 7, RHODES 1: Rachel Kennedy tied her career high with four goals for the second-ranked Polar Bears (12-1) against the Lynx (10-3) in Brunswick.

Bowdoin fell behind after 7:36 but responded with three goals less than three minutes apart starting in the 13th minute. Two of those goals were by Kennedy.

Kimmy Ganong added two goals and one assist, and Adrienne O’Donnell also scored for the Polar Bears.

WORCESTER STATE 2, SOUTHERN MAINE 1: Taylor Ledwith tipped in a pass from Kelli McPherson to break a 1-1 tie with 13:01 left to lift the Lancers (10-6, 5-4 Little East) over the Huskies (7-10, 4-5) in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The Huskies fell behind after 6:42 before Peyton Dostie tied it 41 seconds into the second half.

Amanda Kasbohm made four saves for the Huskies.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 3, ENDICOTT 2: Vonde Saunders scored her second goal of the game with just over 22 minutes left to give the Nor’easters (11-5, 9-1 Commonwealth Coast) a 3-2 lead against the Gulls (13-3, 7-2) in Biddeford.

Endicott opened the scoring after 3:39 but the Nor’easters came back to tie it six minutes later when Beth Sullivan scored from Hannah Cutting.

After Saunders gave UNE a 2-1 lead in the 19th minute, Endicott tied it 3:38 into the second half.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

COLBY 1, HUSSON 0: Cami Notaro scored with 2:51 left as Colby (6-6-1) escaped with a victory against Husson (9-6) at Bangor.

Notaro scored after a rebound on a shot taken by Lauren McCarthy.

The Mules outshot Husson, 26-8. Jess Poulin finished with 11 saves for the Eagles. Emily Brook handled two shots for the shutout.

UM-FARMINGTON 4, SOUTHERN MAINE 3: Alexandra Crocker scored on a header in the second overtime as the Beavers (7-7) beat USM (2-13-1) at Farmington.

The goal came off a rebound from Bridget Humphrey’s shot and gave Farmington just its second-ever win over the Huskies.

Humphrey set up Crocker for the first goal, then scored herself for a 2-0 lead. After Kelly Burrell scored twice to tie it, Avalon Amador scored for the Beavers in the 56th minute. C.C. Pelletier tied it again 12 minutes later.

Southern Maine leads the series 17-2-3. Farmington also won in 2012.

OKLAHOMA STATE: An inquiry by the NCAA and an independent investigator concluded that a Sports Illustrated expose alleging misconduct in the football program was “fundamentally unfounded.”
