WATERVILLE — Colby College scored 40 points in the first half Saturday and went on to its first football victory of the season, defeating winless Hamilton 47-14 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game at Seaverns Field.

Ryder Arsenault had five receptions for 45 yards and a pair of first-half receiving touchdowns, and Luke Duncklee added both a receiving and rushing touchdown in the first half for the White Mules (1-4).

Gabe Harrington was 13-of-20 passing for 225 yards as Colby finished with 452 yards of offense against the Continentals (0-5).

TRINITY 17, BOWDOIN 10: Henry Foye threw a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes, including the go-ahead score with 6:22 left as the Bantams (5-0) rallied past the Polar Bears (2-3) in a NESCAC game at Brunswick.

After a scoreless first quarter, Bowdoin took the lead on a 27-yard field goal by Andrew Sisti with 12:35 left in the half.

The Polar Bears made it 10-0 just over a minute later on a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown by Branden Morin.

Trinity, which outgained Bowdoin 426 to 200 in offense, cut the deficit to 10-3 on a 25-yard field goal with 2:04 left in the half.

Tyler Grant finished with 85 yards rushing on 27 carries for the Polar Bears and Christian Dulmaine caught three passes for 44 yards.

MIDDLEBURY 35, BATES 6: Matt Milano was 29-of-42 passing for 287 yards and four touchdowns as the Panthers (3-2) pulled away from the Bobcats (1-4) in a NESCAC game at Middlebury, Vermont.

Middlebury scored first on its second possession on the first play following an interception by Mike Decina at the Bates 33, Milano connecting with Brendan Rankowitz to give the Panthers a 7-0 lead.

Bates answered seconds later when Matt Cannone hit Mike Tomaino on a 74-yard touchdown pass, and a missed conversion made it 7-6. Middlebury then scored the final 28 points.

Ivan Reese led the Bobcats with 13 carries for 43 yards.

HUSSON 12, GALLAUDET 6: The Eagles (4-1, 3-0 Eastern Collegiate) held the Bison (2-3, 2-1) to 155 yards at Bangor.

Husson took the lead on a 2-yard run by John Smith with 4:17 left in the first quarter. Smith finished with 123 yards on 23 carries.

The Eagles made it 12-0 with 1:03 left in the half on a 3-yard pass from Joe Seccareccia to Ryan Stroud.

Gallaudet scored with 1:47 left but Josiah Hartley recovered the ensuing onside kick.

MAINE MARITIME ACADEMY 13, COAST GUARD 7: The Mariners (2-3, 1-2 New England Conference) broke a 7-7 tie on a 2-yard run by Joseph DiBiase with 39 seconds left in the first half and beat the Bears (3-4, 2-2) at Castine.

Maine Maritime received the opening kickoff and marched 75 yards taking a 7-0 lead on a 2-yard run by Michael Fahey.

Coast Guard tied it with 6:44 left in the half on a 17-yard pass from Derek Victory to Bryan Popp. The Mariners were outgained, 313-262.
