KENNEBUNK — Jo-Anne C. (Murphy) Bourque, 71, the loving wife of Leo P. Bourque for 14 beautiful years, died peacefully at home on Oct. 13, 2014 and has returned to our loving Lord.

Jo-Anne was born on Feb. 7, 1943 in Worcester, Massachu-setts, the daughter of Joseph and Anne (Condrin) Murphy.

She was educated in the local schools.

She was an active member with the Knights of Columbus’ Sunday breakfast at the first Sunday of each month, and also always looked forward to helping with the yearly parish Christmas fair. She was an expert at rug braiding, producing many, both large and small. Jo-Anne also enjoyed doing puzzles with her husband, Leo.

Jo-Anne was preceded in death by: her first husband, Robert Michaud; her son, Steven Paul Michaud; and her brother, Leo J. Murphy.

Jo-Anne is lovingly remembered and greatly missed by: her husband, Leo; her sons, John Paul Michaud, Robert Michaud, Richard Townsend, John Michaud and Scott Michaud; her daughters, Denise Moses and Elaine Vincent; her brother, Michael J. Murphy; her sister, Kathleen Fisher; many grandchildren; and the many who rode her RSU 21 school bus over 26 years.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Martha’s Church, Kennebunk, with The Rev. Fr. Thomas Murphy. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in West Kennebunk.
