KENNEBUNK — Marjorie Hanscom Gould, 91, a lifelong resident of Kennebunk, died peacefully at the Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, with her family by her side.
Marjorie was born Feb. 1, 1923 in Kennebunk, the daughter of Earl F. and Flora V. Littlefield Hanscom, and attended Kennebunk Schools.
She married Maurice W. Gould II on Aug. 29, 1963.
Marjorie was a member of the Kennebunk Baptist Church for many years, and was active in Priscilla Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Kennebunkport.
She is predeceased by: her husband, who died in 1992; a brother, Milan Hanscom; and a sister, Lessie (Jennie) Nadeau.
Survivors include: a son, Douglas Fellows of Kennebunk; a daughter, Deborah LeBlanc of East Waterboro; stepsons Maurice Gould III of Stewart, Florida and Benson Mayo Gould of Durango, Colorado; step-daughter, Milinda Ellen McKay of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; one brother, Vernon Hanscom of Arundel; three sisters, Nellie Caron of Derry, New Hampshire, and Kathleen Stevens and Janet Roy, both of Kennebunk; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 at the Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at the chapel, with The Rev. Jim King officiating. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Wells.
