We have been left speechless to describe our gratitude for the sweet support that our wonderful community showed for the Biddeford Ball on Aug. 23.
It was an incredible evening thanks to so many amazing people working diligently and giving generously to make it happen.
We would like to specifically thank Doug and Lauren Sanford for their exceeding generosity in not only hosting the ball at the Pepperell Mill Campus and providing items for use that increased the net funds raised, but also rolling up their sleeves and pitching in personally to both set up and clean up.
Additionally, the Biddeford Ball could never have been so successful without the tireless support of Union Church, Heart of Biddeford, our sweet staff at Suger, Jen Squires, Chris Betjemann, our numerous fabulous sponsors, partners, and all the wonderful angels from our local beaches and towns who reserved tables, donned their finest and came out in support.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.
We are pleased to announce that the ball raised almost $20,000. We have already distributed $5,000 to Seeds of Hope, Stone Soup Food Pantry and Saco Meals. More than $14,000 is slated to complete the first steps toward the Marble Block facade renovation by uncovering what remains of the original details and whatever else can be achieved toward improving the exterior of that building for the beautification of our beloved Biddeford.
Roxi Suger and Julian Schlaver, Biddeford
