POWNAL — Fuego Diablo begins a new season of Open Mic Music Nights on Saturday, October 4th, at 52 Loring Lane in Pownal.
Performers of all ages and abilities are invited to take the stage while enthusiastic audience members are encouraged to fill the seats at this intimate acoustic venue that has become a favorite gathering spot. Vocalists, musicians, poets and storytellers are all welcome to perform. A sign-up sheet is available and spontaneous collaborations are happily encouraged. Performers requiring gear should bring their own along.
Creative world cuisine, including gluten-free and vegetarian friendly, is served from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Music begins promptly at 6:30pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Beginning its third season, Fuego Diablo is the creative endeavour of musician/composer Jamie Pearson and artist/writer Wren Pearson at their home in Pownal. What began as an avenue to meet local musicians during the long Maine winters has blossomed into an ever expanding community of performers. From celtic harp & blues harmonica to Norse mythology & techno dance music, music nights at Fuego Diablo are always varied, always supportive and great fun.
Whether strumming your first chords on the ukelele or debuting your latest album, if you have the courage to perform you are sure to be heartily welcomed.
