During the last legislative session, I can think of no other representative who advocated for the people of their district any more than current Old Orchard Beach Rep. Sharri MacDonald.
In spite of the multitude of issues that come before us in Augusta, Sharri’s approach to the legislative process was thoughtful, and she embraced a collaborative approach to finding solutions. Also, her commitment to you, the citizens of Old Orchard Beach, was truly impressive. Whenever she rose to speak on an issue in the chamber, you could count on hearing how the pending bill would impact your town.
Sharri brought a positive attitude and energy to the Statehouse, much like the energy she has displayed this past summer in working diligently to support a host of spectacular events in OOB, among them the Wounded Warrior project and Blues Festival.
It is truly an honor to work with someone who continually displays such dedication and caring for her community, friends and neighbors. I strongly encourage you to send Sharri MacDonald back to Augusta; she has truly brought the concerns of the beach to Augusta.
