BIDDEFORD — Richard E. Bolduc, 91, of Overland Park, Kansas, died on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at Garden Terrace in Overland, Kansas, after a long illness.

He was born in Biddeford on Nov. 18, 1922, the son of Alfred and Leonie Dion Bolduc.

He was educated in Biddeford schools and graduated from St. Louis High School with the Class of 1940.

On May 20, 1942, he married Germaine Letarte in St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford. She died Aug. 23, 1992.

Richard served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Mr. Bolduc worked 45 years with the Saco-Lowell Shop, Maremont Corp and Saco Defense Corp in Saco, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, a third- and fourth-degree Knight of Columbus, St. Jean Baptiste de Bienfaisance and the Biddeford Senior Citizens, all in Biddeford. He was past grand knight and faithful navigator of the Knights of Columbus, Luke E. Hart Council.

Surviving are: one son, Richard J. Bolduc and his wife Christine of Valdosta, Georgia; two daughters, Jean Fecteau and her husband Jean Paul of Overland Park, Kansas and Janet Daly and her husband Ronald of Woodstock, New Hampshire; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
