The Saco Bay Jazz Vocal Ensemble held an intimate concert at Trinity Episcopal Church on Friday, Sept. 12, at which the auditioned jazz choir performed swing arrangements of “Hit That Jive Jack,” Ray Charles’ “Hallelujah I Love Her So” and stunning contemporary arrangements of Stevie Wonder’s “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing” and “On Broadway.”
The local, 16-member choir donated its time to perform and receive donations at the door for one of the church members, Dana Tripp, a college student recently diagnosed with aplastic anemia. One hundred percent of the door donations were donated to Tripp, for a total of $672. We are grateful for such a warm and caring community.
