MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — Kiersten Turner scored on a 20-yard shot from the right side with about 16 minutes remaining Saturday to give the undefeated Bowdoin College women’s soccer team a 2-1 victory against Middlebury in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game.
The Polar Bears (4-0) took a 1-0 lead at 13:31 of the second half when Amanda Kinneston scored. Middlebury (0-3) tied it 10 minutes later.

WESLEYAN 2, BATES 1: Peabo Knoth gave the Bobcats (0-5-1, 0-4-0 NESCAC) a 1-0 lead just over 30 seconds into the game in Lewiston, but Wesleyan (3-1-2, 2-1-0 NESCAC) tied it on a goal from Brandon Sousa in the 18th minute before taking the lead midway through the second half on a shot from Matt Lynch.

ST. JOSEPH’S (VT.) SWEEPS SOUTHERN MAINE CC: Kathrine Gilio scored the lone run for the Seawolves (4-4) on a single by Hannah Campbell in the sixth inning as they fell 7-1 in the opener in South Portland. In the second game, Anna Allard and Melinda Pye drove in two runs apiece for the Seawolves in a 9-5 loss.
