As general manager of the Saco Drive-In, we’ve come a long way in turning our beloved theater around. From taking it on as a college project to running it full-time to working with the extended community to save it, it’s been one heck of a journey.
There has been one constant: Someone who has helped this cultural and historic icon to stay afloat and survive. Someone who has really stepped up to the plate when we needed it the most. That person is Justin Chenette.
That aren’t many politicians that would drop everything they’re doing to help out a small business, but thinking about it, Justin really isn’t a politician. He views everyone as family, whether a Democrat or Republican, a business owner or nonprofit professional, seeing instead the larger picture of helping those in the community succeed.
He helped out every step of the way in the 10 months it took to finally save this place for future generations of families to make memories. Obviously, without the community’s support, we would have never been able to make it to our 75th anniversary, but Justin was a big part of the effort behind the scenes.
I’m appreciative that we have a state representative who cares, and even more than that, delivers on his word.
Justin Chenette needs your vote in this election, but probably more importantly, we need him.
Ry Russell,
Saco
